Auto roadside assistance includes towing, battery jump-starts, flat tire assistance, fuel delivery, lockout help, and winching, depending on your plan and the situation. Service limits and mileage limits vary by plan. See Terms and Conditions for details.
We cover the person. With BWC, you can call for Roadside Assistance for any vehicle you're traveling in, even if you are a passenger in a friend's vehicle or driving a rental car. Please note that RV/Heavy Duty/Motorcycle/Bicycle add-on restrictions apply.
Yes. Better World Club is an alternative to AAA for people looking for roadside assistance, member benefits, and a sustainability-focused auto club. We offer many common roadside services, including towing, battery jump-starts, flat tire assistance, fuel delivery, lockout help, and winching. We also offer bicycle roadside assistance, which is a key difference from many traditional auto clubs.
Better World Club offers roadside assistance and member benefits with a sustainability-focused mission. Key differences include bicycle roadside assistance, coverage options for e-bikes, carbon-neutral roadside assistance, and discounts for hybrid and electric vehicles. Plan details, mileage limits, and benefits vary, so compare the plan terms before choosing. See AAA Comparison
Yes. Better World Club offers a 10% discount for memberships with eligible electric and hybrid vehicles. Contact Member Support with your Hybrid/EV VIN number for details on applying the discount.
While many insurance companies offer roadside assistance, your insurance premium may go up due to using the service. The services that insurance companies provide are usually not as comprehensive as our roadside plans.
We cover cars, motorcycles, RVs, bicycles, and E-bikes. Choose the right plan for your ride! For larger vehicles like some pick-up trucks, our RV plan is the way to go. Please note, we don’t cover commercial vehicles without explicit approval.
A single member is limited to four service calls for the membership year and accounts with associates are limited to eight service calls. These are defined plan limits. Service calls are not transferable and will not roll over into the next year if you do not use them. If you require more service calls, we can still dispatch service for existing members, but you will be responsible for paying for the service. You cannot renew early or purchase a second membership to receive additional service calls.
We will cover the towing hookup fee and provide discounted towing rates for tows above your covered limit. You will be quoted the out-of-pocket amount needed to pay the driver for the overage. Mileage rates range between $5-$10 per mile. Payment is required before a dispatch.
Our average response time is under an hour. We always strive to get you taken care of as quickly as possible. Of course, response times will vary according to weather, traffic, accessibility of the location, and nature of the call.
Yes. You can choose to be taken to your home, your mechanic, or another service provider. As long as your preferred location is a comparable distance to the repair facilities covered under your plan, we'll take you there at no extra cost. We can also accommodate longer-distance transport requests to a specific destination, though those requests may involve an out-of-pocket service fee.
Some providers have them but this service is not guaranteed. Often these devices are inefficient and cannot provide the range you might need. If you require a charge for an electric vehicle, we will tow you to a nearby charging station or to your home if within a comparable distance. Tows will not be covered if you intentionally or repeatedly run out of battery charge.
You must be present with the disabled vehicle to receive service. Service providers cannot assist an unattended vehicle. If you cannot be with the car, let the agent know so you can work out an alternative arrangement or exception.
No, we do not provide batteries, tires, or any specialized parts. If you need a new one, we can tow you to a shop where you can purchase one.

We do not cover breakdowns that occur before you become a member or that occur outside of active contract dates. If you need immediate service, we can arrange that for you, but you will have to pay additional fees.

Bicycle Roadside FAQ
Our Bicycle program is primarily a transport service. If you break down on your bicycle, we will pick you and your bicycle up and give you a ride home or to a bike shop. All bike plans cover up to 30 miles of transportation.
Yes. We’ve got you covered. We offer the same world-class roadside coverage for our e-bike riders as we do with our bicycle and auto members.
Depending on the bike size and availability, a flatbed truck, large pickup, van, or SUV will be dispatched that can accommodate a passenger and a bicycle.
You must be accessible by road. If our transport vehicles can’t access you they won’t be able to provide service.
We don’t offer bicycle insurance directly. You can call our insurance partners to see what options they have with their homeowner or renters policies.
You’re entitled to two bicycle service calls per year, each covering up to 30 miles of transport. Need more? We’ll still assist, but extra costs apply.
Only a handful of AAA regions offer bicycle assistance. They will only cover your bicycle if you are in your local region and nowhere else. A bicycle call will count towards your automobile calls with AAA, while Better World Club gives you dedicated service specifically for your bicycle. We also uniquely offer a bicycle-only policy and cover electric bicycles.
In general, no. Vendors will arrive with common tools and may be able to assist if they are personally familiar with bicycles. But this is not something we can guarantee.
